4th Of July Spectacular Viewing Areas in Downtown San Diego
San Diego is a wonderful place to celebrate the 4th of July and there are some spots to watch the fireworks that are out of this world! The Big Bay Boom in downtown is the area you want to be. Check out the three best spots for you to have the best view of the action below.
- Seaport Village/ Coronado Ferry Landing
Seaport Village is a cute spot with unique little touristy shops, making it a great place that overlooks the San Diego bay and Coronado Bay. On the opposite side of Seaport Village is the Coronado Ferry Landing, with even bigger shops and has a view of downtown San Diego along with sights like the USS Midway and others! This spot is very popular, so be there early to avoid traffic because it gets crazy, especially during the holiday.
- Shelter Island
2019 will be the 62nd year of 4th of July fireworks at the island, it’s a ritual that has been passed down from generation to generation. The island provides shuttle service to and from the island so it’s very accessible. The view is wonderful, and it overlooks the San Diego bay beautifully.
- The Embarcadero
This spot is probably the most popular because it overlooks the north and south beaches so you’re able to get an entire 180 degrees of fireworks. There are two different spots at the Embarcadero both have the best viewing areas, in the South Embarcadero the best spot includes parts of the San Diego Convention Center. In the North Embarcadero go to the area between Grape and Broadway, Broadway Pier offers great viewing area.
Either spot you pick will have the perfect view of the fireworks this Fourth of July. Enjoy!
