Fall Activities Perfect for Sweater Weather
Looking for something to do this Fall season in San Diego? We know sometimes it’s hard to find something to do, so we’ve rounded up a list of our favorite things to do once fall hits. For those who can be indecisive, it can be nice to be told where to go occasionally. Especially, when you need some fresh ideas, that you may not have otherwise thought to consider! We have consolidated a list of 8 activities that are a must for sweater weather!
- U-Pick Orchards
Julian, California
Apple Picking is something everyone needs to do at least once. Plus, who doesn’t love a fresh, juicy apple, that you picked yourself! If you’ve never heard of the town Julian, this is a historical gold mining town where you will find fall colors and foliage, apple pie and cider, caramel apples, homemade fudge and so much more. U-pick orchards don’t require a reservation, so head up there anytime you are feeling like you need some fall festivities in your life.

Día De los Muertos or day of the dead is being celebrated Nov. 1st through the 3rd in the historical district of Old Town. Here you will find restaurants with specialty menus, live music, face painting, mask painting and so much more. These are activities the whole family can enjoy!
- Haunted San Diego

Like to keep things spooky? During this Halloween season explore Haunted San Diego. There are so many activities downtown including the haunted hotel which was ranked as one of the top 13 haunted houses in America by Haunt World Magazine. Another haunted activity you can check out is Balboa’s haunted trail. A mile-long walk of spooks and scares!

Here’s a fun event to do with your dog, because they’re a part of the family too! There is a Halloween Costume Pawty. We know, super adorable! This event takes place on October 29th at 4- 6:30pm. Calling all craft beer drinkers! Art and Beer Night Market SD at starts at 5pm on November 3rd. Here you will be able to experience some of San Diego’s best artists, beer, and food. Plus, it’s free to enjoy! Balboa at night is a beautiful sight, all lit up you can enjoy a craft beer and a slice of pizza. Sounds like our kind of night.
